MCKINNEY, Texas — In-person early voting for the Nov. 3 general election began Oct. 19 and runs through Oct. 30 in Collin County, according to election information published by Collin College and the county elections office.
Collin County uses vote centers. Registered county voters can cast a ballot at any designated county vote center during early voting or on Election Day, the elections office says. Locations and hours can change by election, so voters should use the county's current polling-location page before leaving home rather than rely on a place used in an earlier election.
Voters can also check their registration status and review a sample ballot through links on the county elections website. Some city and school district questions appear only on ballots for voters who live within those jurisdictions, so the sample ballot tied to a voter's address is the clearest guide to what will appear.
The county lists acceptable photo identification and alternatives for voters who cannot reasonably obtain one on its frequently asked questions page. The page also explains limited ballots for some people who moved from another Texas county. That option is available only during early voting at the main early-voting location, and residents should call the elections office for eligibility details.
For voting questions, the county elections office lists 972-547-1900. The official polling-location page is the source for the current vote-center list.
